 Move control switch to desired speed, start with low and increase accordingly  When finished turn unit off

Cleaning the Mixer after every use

 Wash metal mixing containers in hot soapy water or pass through the glass wash machine after every use  Clean the spindle shaft after every use - using a clean damp yellow cloth, spray cloth with company approved sanitiser and wipe clean

Cleaning the Mixer at the end of session

 Using the company approved sanitiser spray outside of drinks mixer and wipe with a clean damp yellow cloth – do not spray plug  Fill one of the milkshake metal cups with warm soapy water, fit to the machine as normal & allow to rest and set control switch to low for 30 seconds to ensure the spindle is fully cleaned  Remove container and replace soapy water with clean warm water place back onto container rest and set control switch to low for 30 seconds  Allow to air dry

ASK QUESTION TO GROUP: What are the hazards to using the Mixer? CONFIRM CORRECT ANSWERS:  Electric shocks if plug and wires are broken  Contamination risk from foreign bodies  Cuts to fingers if incorrectly used

ENSURING SAFE USE OF THE SPINDLE DRINKS MIXER

 Disconnect the power before installing or removing the spindle  Do not submerge mixer in water  Always use metal container when mixing  Do not put spoon or other utensils in metal container when mixing  Do not allow agitator to hit the container sides when mixing  Inspect mixer and agitator daily

Conclude the training exercise by allowing the trainees to practice using and cleaning the mixer
