CLEANING Do not Disturb Signs If a guest has a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on their door we must make sure that we are quiet when servicing the rooms attached to it and also in the corridors outside these rooms (including vacuuming) as the guest may be sleeping.

Do not Disturb Signs

Check out day If the sign is still on the door past midday on the guest’s day of departure, we can knock to see if the guest is still present.

If they are then we need to apologise and politely remind them that our check out time is midday.

Stay over guests If you get to the end of your shift and the guest still has their ‘ Do Not Disturb’ sign on their door, you will need to get you manager to print a DND Service note & pop it under the door. Also, leave a bag outside the door with towels, toilet roll and tea tray items in.

You will need to write a note in the handover diary to say what you have done.
